Password Management That Protects and Empowers
Passwords are the front door to your facility’s digital records, and we’ve strengthened how they’re handled on our platform. Our latest password management update enhances protection and usability for both managers and staff.
Why We Made This Change
We’ve updated our password encryption and reset process to:
Increase the overall security of user accounts
Ensure a more seamless and secure experience for password recovery
Support admin teams in managing staff access without compromising privacy
What’s Different Now
Stronger encryption: We’ve improved the encryption algorithm we use to protect passwords—making account credentials more secure than ever.
More secure self-service: Our “Forgot Password” feature now allows users to reset their own password directly through a secure workflow—no more passwords sent via email.
Manager access has changed: Admins can no longer see individual user passwords, but they can still initiate a password reset. Even better, sending a login email to a user takes them directly to your HydroApps site to update their password securely.
There’s no need to change your current password unless you choose to. Existing passwords remain valid.

Encrypted From the Start
Every HydroApps platform operates on a secure, encrypted connection thanks to SSL (Secure Socket Layer) certificates. You’ll always see https:// at the start of your URL, ensuring that any data entered into the system is transmitted securely and privately.
This is the same type of encryption used by banks, healthcare providers, and top-tier enterprise software systems and it’s included for every HydroApps client.
Hosted on Secure Infrastructure You Can Trust
HydroApps is hosted on Microsoft Azure, one of the most secure and scalable cloud platforms available. Your data is stored in secure data centers in Boydton, Virginia, with nightly backups to ensure nothing gets lost or corrupted.
Microsoft Azure provides robust protections, including:
Physical security at the data center
Continuous monitoring and threat protection
Disaster recovery and redundancy safeguards
You don’t need to manage servers or worry about outages as we’ve built our system to be dependable, resilient, and responsive.
Who Can See Your Data?
HydroApps gives you control over who sees what through role-based access. Your program administrators determine user visibility and permissions. No one outside your organization can access your data without your knowledge or consent.
To support your team, HydroApps staff may access program data for technical support, troubleshooting, or training purposes but only as needed, and never for sales or third-party sharing.
Our development team may occasionally access anonymized data to improve performance, deploy new features, or report on industry standards and trends but your privacy remains our top priority.
Your Data Is Yours
While HydroApps retains ownership of the application code, you own the data you input into the platform. We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties.
This commitment is backed by our End User License Agreement (EULA), which outlines your rights as a user including confidentiality and intellectual property protections. You can read the full EULA at any time by request.

We’re also continuing to explore improvements to login security, with SSO now available and options for two-factor authentication on the horizon.
